Jun 1, 2001 | 10th of Sivan, 5761 | י׳ בסיון תשס״א

June 1, 2001 – Irena Usdachi, 18 of Holon was one of 21 people killed in a suicide bombing at a Tel-Aviv discotheque shortly before midnight on Friday night.

Irena Usdachi was an only child, immigrated to Israel with her mother from the Ukraine four years prior when her parents separated. She celebrated her 18th birthday just a week previously.

Irena was an 11th-grader at Holon’s Herzog high school and also worked after school. School principal Ruti Tendler said Irena was a remarkably industrious, intelligent girl who had chosen a difficult course of study in Russian language and literature.

Irena was buried in the Yarkon cemetery in Tel-Aviv.

Israel's Voice commitment to memorialize each victim of terror doesn't end here. We are currently reaching out to those who have been victimized and to every family who's lost loved one(s) due to terror. Your story must be told and we intend to create a documentary for each individual. Silence is no longer an option. Contact us today to set up an appointment. info@israelvoice.org Our preference is to make your story heard in English, but Hebrew is also fine. Videos will be subtitled for the world to understand.
