July 4, 2001 – Eliahu Na’aman, 32 of Petah Tikva was shot at point-blank range just inside the Green Line at Sueika near Tulkarem.
Na’aman was known to be involved in selling stolen cars and car parts to Palestinian dealers in Sueika, a village where cars stolen in Israel were processed for re-sale as replacement auto parts. On July 4, he arrived in the area and was killed by shots fired from a passing car.
Sharon District police spokesman Yigal Avraham said that Na’aman was known to police and had dealings with criminals in the PA areas in the past. However he stressed that police had not ruled out the possibility that Na’aman had been the victim of a terrorist attack.
Eliahu Na’aman was disabled following an attempt on his life in September 1997. He was married and the father of three.
Israel's Voice commitment to memorialize each victim of terror doesn't end here. We are currently reaching out to those who have been victimized and to every family who's lost loved one(s) due to terror. Your story must be told and we intend to create a documentary for each individual. Silence is no longer an option. Contact us today to set up an appointment. firstname.lastname@example.org Our preference is to make your story heard in English, but Hebrew is also fine. Videos will be subtitled for the world to understand.
