Yitzchak Kolangi, 28 of Petah Tikva was one of six people who were killed in a suicide bombing attack on a bus carrying Israelis at Sarafovo Airport in Burgas, Bulgaria on July 18, 2012.
Itzik Kolangi and Amir Menashe were good friends from Petah Tikva. Itzik’s wife Gilat gave birth to their first child Noya four months ago and his birthday was two weeks ago. The couple decided to celebrate in Burgas with their friends Natalie and Amir Menashe who have a ten-month-old son Rom. Both couples left their infants at home. Gilat was severely injured and Natalie was lightly injured from the terrorist attack, while Itzik and Amir were killed while loading their luggage onto the bus.
Kolangi was proud to be an employee of Electra. His sister Yael, said that his family – wife and daughter – were the most important thing in his life. His brother David related that Itzik was named after his uncle who was killed in the War of Attrition in 1970.
Yitzchak Kolangi was buried at the Segula cemetery in Petah Tikva.
He is survived by his wife Gilat and daughter Noya.
Israel's Voice commitment to memorialize each victim of terror doesn't end here. We are currently reaching out to those who have been victimized and to every family who's lost loved one(s) due to terror. Your story must be told and we intend to create a documentary for each individual. Silence is no longer an option. Contact us today to set up an appointment. email@example.com Our preference is to make your story heard in English, but Hebrew is also fine. Videos will be subtitled for the world to understand.
